Jacob Palme, professor of computer science at the Stockholm University, in the late seventies he was involved in building up the COM system that allowed hundreds of Swedish users - most employees and researchers but also private computer enthusiasts - write to each other in so-called "meetings", establishing a connection for the first time to the ARPANET in 1982. Since 1995 was editor in IETF on development of a standard for HTML in e-mail inventory and extensions of e-mail heading fields. In 1982 not only Sweden established a link to the ARPANET over SATNET but also Norway, Netherlands, Denmark, and UK.
